WHICH
LINE DO WE GO DOWN? -
The case for realism is, as always a matter of degree and as I have a history
of adding to my railway piecemeal , just because I happen to like something,
I fear that any claims to how' a railway' should really look, has long since
disappeared. This is well illustrated in the background of Santa-Fe
'45' No. 5435,
which shows a British style semaphore signal gantry, that spans the dual
scale G scale/Gauge 1/Gauge 3 lines. Gauge 3 engines which can sometimes
be coal fired, run on 21/2" (64mm) track. To be absolutely correct 63.5mm,
and can offer a completely different concept of garden railway operation
when compared with running on the standard (G) 45mm track.
